Our Hotel has 3 stars and it is situated nearby the Sacro Monte of Orta (the Sacred Mount) at just 10 minutes walk from the historical center of this spelndid medieval village.
Orta San Giulio is located on the shores of the lake and it boasts a characteristic island which is possible to visit.
Rooms are equipped with ensuite private bath, satellite color television set and direct telephone.
Upon request and with a small supplement also Superior type rooms are available.
All the rooms are comfortable, clean and our staff is always friendly.
In the morning, a rich buffet breakfast is served from the 07:30 to the 10:30 and it is one of our best hits.
At our RISTORO OLINA, which is located in one of the characteristic medieval streets of the village , we proposes a careful kooking made of traditional and also creative main courses.
Excellent appetizers; terrine patés, flans, carpaccio of fish, etc.
Home made pasta with fresh mushrooms or seasonal Alba truffles.
Finally fresh fish of any kind and cuts of our typical Piedmont meat.
The Wine cellar of our Restaurant proposes the best Red Piedmont wines or Trentino and Friuli White wines.
Our Santa Caterina Hotel offers many other facilities and services, such as a bar, a private parking, garage, elevator, and also a small garden for resident guests.

I followed the indications in the guide book on what to see, from which century and the time needed.
It was a weekend with a lot of people about who too made part of the scenery; it's worth it, I thought: I'll come back when I have some days free.
That part of the lake had remained much as it was and the new buildings, were away from the centre.
The more touristic shops and bars were on the square facing the island.
I turned down the alley towards the Olina for a first-rate dish.
The day followed its own slow rhythms, the car in the garage just a memory.
I spent a long time at the buffet: it was fantastic. I tossed a coin into the water... It bounced, a lucky omen for my return... I certainly come back.

route Novara-Domodossola, stop at Orta-Miasino station, or from Milan you change for route Novara-Domodossola, and then stop at Orta-Miasino.
