The initial block of our Hotel Capo Sud was built in 1955 by the Di Puccio family which still runs the hotel today.
Since then the hotel has been enlarged and regularly restructured, but its discreet and friendly welcome has not changed. Hotel Capo Sud has been a member of "Charme&Relax" the Italian independent charming hotels group
since its first creation.
The hotel has fourty rooms set in small cottages located in the large garden-park which is directly on the sea front.
These cottages are named Palm, Eucalyptus, Sun, Aleatico, Moon, Pinetree, Mimosa, Nightingale, Butterbush,
Sea Urchin and Sage.
Their names were suggested to us by their peculiar position within the green mediterranean vegetation which surrounds the hotel.
In the hotel’s central building is the main restaurant: their kitchen prepares wholesome dishes and you may choose
every day seafood specialties.
You will particularly appreciate the hotel’s proximity to the sea.
The three paths leading to the beach start
from the terrace where breakfast is served, near the waterlilys pond.
A few steps and you will reach one of the hotel’s most beautiful places, the scenographic swimming pool facing the sea.br>
Near the swimming pool are a bar
and a small nice open-air restaurant which is active since mid June. There, at lunch, you may eat a-la-carte or have a complete lunch at a good price.
Then you will reach the beach: one of the most peaceful of Elba even during the summer months when the island is more crowded.
In the hotel’s private beach you may rent beach umbrellas, deckchairs and sun beds in the sand area. Adults and children can relax and swim safely in the swimming pool
and in the sea under the surveillance of the lifeguards.
On the beach the lifeguard may rent you canoes and pedalos. One hundred meters from the beach there is a sailing and windsurf school which is good both for beginners and experienced sailors.
The setting of our Hotel Capo Sud is in a very quiet location, in the middle of the vegetation right near the boundary of the "Natural Park of Tuscan Isles" which guarantees clean sea and unpolluted nature.
- By ferry/car:
Exiting the port of Portoferraio follow signs to "all directions" driving on the short motorway ring. Turn on your left towards Porto Azzurro.
After about 800 m you'll get to a traffic light: turn left towards Lacona. The bendy road will take you ut to Colle Reciso and you will enjoy a nice panoramic view on Portoferraio and Lacona.
When downhill opposite de minimarket turn on your left. By the crossing, at the end of the straight road drive direction Porto Azzurro and after 400 m you will find the entrance road to Capo Sud on your right handside.
