Our Hotel degli Orafi is housed in an ancient Florentine residence, situated between the famous Uffizi Gallery and Ponte Vecchio and the palace features some historical parts, dating back to the 13th century, such as the Augustinian Fathers convent enclosure.
Inside the hotel, which has recently been carefully restored, there are marvellous frescoes and ceilings built and painted during the Florentine Renaissance period.
Hotel degli Orafi features 42 delightfully refurbished rooms, all with modern furniture, wall-to-wall carpet or parquet and featuring private marble bathroom, with bathrobe, telephone, make-up mirror and hairdryer.
Rooms are furthermore soundproofed and equipped with individually controlled air conditioning, satellite Television, mini bar, safe and direct dial telephone.
Most of the rooms offer particular views on the Arno river, Ponte Vecchio, Georgofili Academy, the ancient Medici residence of Palazzo Vecchio, Vasari Gallery and Brunelleschi's Dome.
In the morning American breakfast buffet is served from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m. in the frescoed breakfast room with a ceiling from the 19th centuryand in the evening a complimentary drink is served at the cocktail bar on the roof, with spectacular views on the Florentine rooftops.
