Siculiana is set on a beautiful hilltop that dominates the sea, the fine sandy beaches and rocky reefs of the coastline.
A pretty sunny city showing its typical tourist fascination, an ideal destination for summer vacations is certainly
Siculiana Marine, the bathing lido in the Sicily Channel.
An interesting nature and historical shoreline point boasting other localities like Monterosso and Torre Salsa with a rich Mediterranean vegetation amid the sand dune lush.

Siculiana is also renown for its rich agricolture production of grapes, cereals, almonds, vegetables and fresh fruits and its name comes from Latin "Siculius" which means Sicilian people.
The city was originally a fortified castle, during the Arab domination and it was later destroyed by Normans .
It was then Lord Federico Chiaramonte who rebuilt the Castle in order to became it his new dwelling.
The city center we can admire today it was founded in the XV century by Gilberto Isfar, a Catalan noble man and later
Siculiana was dominated by other noble families as Bosco, Filangieri and Bonanno.
Just part of the historic monuments in towan are in a baroque style, such as the chiesa Madre, a curch dedicated to San Leonardo which accommodates the Cappella del Santissimo Crocifisso, the holy cross sanctuary or the Torre di Monterosso, a defense tower.
