Hotels Ciro' Marina

Ciro' Marina and the Cirotano territory were in the past not much populated either for the water lack than because of the Saracene raids along the Calabrian coast.
Ciro' is nowdays an important renown wine production region, appreciated all over the world, and the seaside city of Cirò Marina has become an interesting tourist-bathing center.
The economy is then tied to the Cirò wine and tourism, both representing the future of this area.
Tanks to the archaeological diggings of Punta Alice, a visit to the sanctuary of Apollo Haleo is suggested to admire the V century b.C. temple in Dorico style.
In the premises there are the Torre Vechia, so called because constructed on an ancient tower of the IX century, and moreover the New Tower (Torre Nuova), constructed from the Spanish at the end of the XV century, in order to refrain Turks incursions.
Much better preserved is the Castle of Carafa, situated along the road to Ciro' a fortress with towers that have been transformed in residendial homes.
