Barletta is located along the Apulia coastline of the Adriatic sea, by the Ofanto river on the
gulf of Manfredonia.
This beautiful town is historically famous for
the defeat of Barletta in February 1503, the fight between thirteen French and thirteen Italian knights during the French-Spaniard battle for the conquest of South Italy, in the nearby Andria neighbor.
