The port of Sciacca is the second one in Sicily for number of fishing boats and amount of fished fresh fish, a delight for the palate.

The idrothermomineral patrimony of the Selinuntine Spas is one of the richest and complete in the world.
It ilccudes in fact: sulphureous, salsobromojodic water (also said of the Molinelli), bicarbonatealcaline (also called the saint water), mediummineral (Fontana Calda - warm spring) and many more varieties that the Saccensi people have not yet been taken advantage of it.
At present just two types of its numerous waters are in fact used: the salsobromojodic (Molinelli water) ipothermal (32° C) used for baths, inalating cures and gynecological irrigations plus the sulphureous-salso-sulfate-alkaline, iperthermal (56° C) radioactive, plain water, smelling of sulphured hydrogen.
The Acqua Santa - holy water, instead has disappeared after the sisma of Belice valley in 1968 (but man thinks that this kind of water can be newly be found) while the water of Fontana Calda - warm spring, is used from the Saccensi like a drink.
