Pignone is a small village located in the Bassa Val di Vara on the border of the Cinque Terre National Park that is only a few kilometers away. Moreover it is possible to reach by car the localities of Monterosso al Mare and Levanto in about twenty minutes. The municipality area is characterized by many hamlets (Cappelletta, Catornola, Faggiona, Monti, Casale and Villa) that together form the Pignone and Casale valley.

In Pignone it is possible to visit the Church of Santa Maria Assunta, of the XIV century which conserves numerous works of local artists, and the  bridge dating back to the beginning of the XVII century. The surrounding area is rich of naturalistic beauties, that it is possible to admire thanks to pleasant excursions on foot, horse and mountain-bike. There are many paths departing from the village and some join the interest for the nature to the cultural and historical one. Among these paths we suggest the one that from Pignone doors to Prato di Corno, crossing the area with the famous archaeological finds of the bronze age.
