Hotel Rodi Garganico.

The renown seaside resort of Rodi Garganico is set in the northern part of the Gargano National Park in Puglia, in the province of Foggia. The center was famous already in the nineteenth century, above all for the production of citruses, in particular of oranges and lemons, while nowadays it has become popular also for its limpid waters, acknoledged many times of the Blue Flag.

The city of Rodi Garganico castles on a rocky cape, set between two long stretches of sandy beaches surrounded by the sea and a green lush vegetation and it is located at a short distance from the Lake of Varano. The historical center features a medieval print, characterized fby steep narrow lanes on which rise the typical white houses. To visit is the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Libera  and the Convent of the Cappuccini, the castle, the churches of Saint Peter, Saint Nicholas and of the Holy Cross and in the free time, a walk in the characteristic "Vuccolo" zone is advised.

Rodi Garganico was at first a Crete and then Greek colony and in Roman age, the village was named "Portus Garnae". The historical center conserves still today some towers that testify the besieges and pillages made by Gotis and Venetians. Furthermore the city hosted Ferdinand of Aragon and gave shelter to Gioacchino Murat, when escaping after the fall of Napoleon.

The white city of Rodi Garganico laps from the sea and stretched on a hillside, it is perfumed by the orange blossom "zagare" and it is rich on secular olive groves. The port ensures connections with the Tremiti Islands and the commericali exchanges with the Adriatic coasts of  Dalmatia.

Although the economy is based mostly on tourism, fishing and agriculture, under the tourist accommodation profile, Rodi Garganico is an appreciated bathing locality, mostly attended during the summer season and it is equipped of pleasant comfortable hotel, modern lodge, bed and breakfast, and in the new centers alaso of residential hotel, holiday apartment and other complex, as  in Lido del Sole.
