Hotel Vulcano.

Vulcano is an island of 21 square kilometers of the Aeolian archipelago, about 25 km north of Sicily. A strait of 750 meters separating it from Lipari to which is connected by a ferry service. The island was known since ancient times for its intense volcanic activity, but has always been sparsely populated. The territory is characterized by four volcanoes including the largest and the only one still active is the Gran Cratere della Fossa. The landscape consists primarily of a vast plateau surrounded by gentle hills that slope down to the sea.

Vulcano offers the possibility to make long excursions immersed in the nature. From Porto Levante begin almost all the tracks that lead on the hills of the island. The most popular trail leads to the main crater where it is possible to enjoy a fantastic view. On the way we can admire the "fumarole", emissions of sulfur vapors that escape from the earthly. These hot springs allow to make mud baths useful primarily for the treatment of rheumatism and skin diseases.

But Vulcano is a renowned destination especially for the beauty of the sea and landscape. The island is rich of small bays and beaches with the typical black sand where we can relax and sunbathe. The Spiaggia delle Fumarole, where you can bathe in the warm sea, and the Spiaggie Nere are the most famous. Even the seabed, as in the landscape outside, are so characteristic to be considered unique in the world.
In the evening there are many opportunities for fun, thanks to the numerous restaurants, nightclubs and discos.
