Hotel Costa Rei.

Costa Rei is a famous seaside resort in the municipality of Muravera, in the south-east part of Sardinia. The village faces the Tyrrhenian Sea on the sidelines of Flumendosa river plain and it is surrounded by a beautiful countryside planted with citrus. The town stretches along the coast for about 10 km to Cala Sinzias, even though the center itself is located at the foot of Mount Nai. This area is renowned for its depths of the seabed that give the sea colors and nuances unique.

Here stood the ancient Phoenician city of Sarcapos, even though the area was previously inhabited as witnessed the many archaeological areas in the region. Very interesting is the complex of megalithic called Piscina Rei, which dates back to the Neolithic. On the coast there are some Spanish towers, which were built to defend the people by frequent pirate raids. The village had a great development from the '70s, when in the area were built hotels and especially holiday villages, which have made Costa Rei a well known tourist destination.

The coast around Costa Rei is characterized by numerous coves and bays with white sand washed by a sea extraordinarily clear. The most important beach lies opposite to the village and it's famous for the rock Peppino, a picturesque island not far from the coast. This area is particularly appreciated by those who practice windsurfing, for the slight but steady wind. In addition to the sea, this area offers the opportunity to make pleasant excursion on foot or horseback in the surrounding countryside, rich in vegetation and unspoilt landscapes.
