Hotel Grottammare.

Grottammare is a lovely coastal town in the province of Ascoli Piceno, located in the southern part of Marche. The locality stretches along the Adriatic coast, just north of the mouth of Tesino river, at the foot of green hills that rise inland. Grottammare is set in the heart of the famous "Riviera delle Palme", Coast of palms, renowned for its mild climate and for the clarity of its sea. For these reasons, the city has become in recent years one of the most popular seaside resorts of the Adriatic coast.

The origins of the villagge are very ancient, as demonstrated by the many findings of the area, dating back to the Neolithic. The medieval town, still exists, stands on the top of a hill and it's surrounded by walls built in the sixteenth century. The villagge retains its original appearance with rustic homes and narrow, winding streets. From the eighteenth century Grottammare began to spread along the coast, near the sandy shoreline. On the waterfront, with beautiful flower beds and palms, face various hotels, restaurants and clubs very popular in the summer.

The beach in front of Grottammare is large and equipped with modern lidos. The sea is clean and characterized by low depths, which make this area ideal for families with children. Also worth visiting the ancient village, which boasts some historic monument of great value. In the town center there is the church of Saint Lucia, built in the sixteenth century in memory of Pope Sixtus V, which was born here in 1521. In the main square is also a charming viewpoint from which you can enjoy a splendid view of the coast below.
