Trentino and South Tyrol (Alto Adige) are the regions located in the extreme north-east of Italy and they represents ever since the border between the German and the Latin langueges. To mention are the beatiful art cities like Trento, Merano, Bressanone and many small villages rich in history and culture, with churches and castles in Romanesque and Gotic style. To this great natural and cultural patrimony you must add the good quality organization of the local hotel industry in both Trentino and South Tyrol and the welcoming hospitality of their inhabitants render these regions a pleasant destination  for the mountain lovers, in particular for alpine and cross-country skiers.
