Marina di Camerota is a small seaside resort set in the southern side of Campania and nicknamed for its beauty the “pearl of Cilento”.
The village is part of the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park, an area of great interest both naturalistic than historical. The coast extends for approximately 27 km, from the foce of the Mingardo river to the spur of Marcellino, and it is characterized by rocky capes, small bays and white sandy beaches.
All the territory is also rich of marine and land coves, which are often important archaeological sites.

The coves of Cala, Sepolcrale and Serratura, beyond for the extraordinary beauty, deserve a visit for the presence of finds going back to the Palaeolithic. Of great interest is also the Bay degli Infreschi, renowned for its beautiful seabed and for the surrounding territory, characterized by hills with wide olive groves. Marina di Camerota boasts many beaches, all different, between which the most important is the Calanca, ideal for families thanks to its fine sand and low seabed.

The town still conserve the typical character of fishing village, with narrow lanes rich of ancient shops, but it offers to the tourist also a beautiful seafront and an equipped port, with a service of hydrofoils that links Marina di Camerota with Naples, Capri and Salerno. In the summery evenings in the main square, where the church rises, they are often organized shows and concerts.
In a short time moreover Camerota, characteristic village of Greek origin, can be reached, known for its craftsmen skillful in working the clay.
