Set in an evocative countryside, full of atmosphere, our B&B Corte Bertoia welcomes guests in a friendly familiar atmosphere.
The house was built in the 1600s as a property of the Benedictine Abbey of Polirone to administer an estate of 300 rods.
At the end of the 1700s it was registered in the Teresian cadastre as a monastery property for holiday use within a vast holding that supplied also wine and wheat.
After the ecclesiastical ownings had been confiscated in the Napoleonic period, the property became private and new buildings were added for growing necessities.
The main part was rebuilt at the beginning of the 1900s and today it hosts Bed and Breakfast Corte Bertoia Country House.
Rooms are located on an independent floor and morning breakfast is served in the large entrance room with a view onto the countryside.
Our three rooms are spacious and furnished in a traditional style, all have private bathrooms and heating.
We offer continental breakfast and on request, also biological, dietary and glutine-free foods can be prepared.
The B&B is situated in an evocative area, set in the green of the countryside and surrounded by 30 hectares of farming land.
You can use your stay to live in direct contact with nature, going for walks on the banks, bicycle-tours discovering churches from Roman period in the area or just reading a book sitting on the grass.
You can also observe the starry nights, this experience can be completed with a visit to the nearby astronomy observatory.

* if you come from Mantua or the Autobrennero A22 motorway exit of Mantova Sud go towards Modena or San Benedetto Po.
Once you have reached San Benedetto Po, continue on the main ring-road and turn left at our sign-post set at about two hundred metres after the traffic lights and continue for 4 Km ahead towards San Siro where you will find our B&B.
* if you come from Bologna, exit Autobrennero A22 motorway gate in Pegognaga and follow signs towards San Benedetto Po.
Once you are on the main provincial road, continue to a T intersection with the Romana main road, turn left and at the next T intersection turn left again.
Here, a little while before the town of San Benedetto Po, you will find our indication directing towards San Siro. Turn right near the Cockcafé and continue 4 Km to get to San Siro where you will find our B&B.
