The Antica Casa dei Rassicurati is located in the centre of the enchanting medieval town of Montecarlo, in a 1600 palace on three levels, completely refurbished in the typical style of the Tuscan villas. The bed & breakfast Antica Casa dei Rassicurati offers on its ground floor a bar where to sip drinks, and a small reading room where guests can consult books as well as touristic guides, rather than surfing the web on the Internet. Breakfast is served in a dedicated room with fireplace during the winter, while in summer the charming patio on the outside is used. Breakfast is based on in-house made cakes, fresh fruit and typical bakery products such as tuscan bread and focaccia. Upon request, in the evenings aperitives are prepared, with snacks, bruschetta and the Montecarlo renowned wine, produced in the vineyards nearby.
The Antica Casa dei Rassicurati rooms are each named after different flowers, with wall painted in pastel colours and furnished in the unique taste of the tuscan houses. The rooms are provided with private restroom, telephone line, television and fan fotr the summer.
The Montecarlo hamlet, mid way between Lucca and the spas of Montecatini, is well-known for the precious wine originating from the many farms set on the surrounding hills. Given the vocation for wine of these lands, dating back to the Middlle Age, the town is part of the “wine route” stretching in Tuscany. Olive oil, with its intense colour and scent, is another quality product of these hills. Montcarlo is with no doubt a fascinating destination for thos wanting to visit Tuscany without renouncing to the pleasures of the good food and wine.
