The Hotel Pineta in San Menaio is only 200 metres far from the wonderful sea of the garganic headland and in the heart of the Natural Park, surrounded by pinewoods, orange and olive groves. These features make it one of the ideal destinations where to spend your own holidays in the Garaganic area. It is built in the surroundings of the centuries-old Marzini Pinewood, and not far from the renowned sandy beach in Cala Calenella. The Hotel Pineta is suitable for families with children who wish to spend their holidays close to nature and to the sea, as well as for young people looking for relax and fun. The hotel, completely refurbished in spring 2008, offers a high quality service to its guests. Among the attracting destinations of the Garganic area is the Gargano National Park, whose variety of landscapes proposed is fascinating, with cliffs, maquis, lakes and marshs where it is possible to admire numerous species of animals and trees. Not far from the hotel are the Basilica of St. Michael Archangel and the Padre Pio Sanctuary, in San Giovanni Rotondo.
The Hotel Pineta provides 40 bright rooms; all of them are equipped with air conditioning, satellite TV, direct telephone line, minibar, safe. On request, it is possible to stay in rooms with balcony. The hotel offers its guests an entertaining area, named Marzini Club. For children, for instance, there is a playground and a miniclub. Adults can have fun in the swimming pool or in the 5-a-side pitch and tennis court. A TV room, solarium and a parking are available to guests, together with a shuttle service which links the hotel to the beach facilities. The 2008 new feature is a swimming pool with hydro massage and warm water to allow its use in every season. The restaurant of the Hotel Pineta delights its guests with dishes from the typical Garganic cuisine, in order to renew its ancient traditions and the tastes of the Apulian cookery. The food products of the area are in fact the basis of the dishes offered, such as the orecchiette with turnit tops and the garganic fish soup. For vegetarian guests, the restaurant of the Hotel Pineta prepares a variety of recipes, as well as proper dishes for those who are intolerant to specific ingredients.
